“Outstanding team of professionals who actually care about you and your health. If you are an over stressed traveling software exec then this is the place to ‘reset’.”

— Peter D

“Posture Studio has really improved my quality of life. The reformer classes are a great compliment to my traditional strength training - increasing core and stabilizers strength while also soothing larger muscle fatigue with stretching and mobility exercises.”

— Morgan D

“Coming into Posture Studio is always the best part of my week. So good at helping clients build strength and functional movement patterns after injury. I only wish I had discovered their work years earlier….and the classes are FUN!”

— Nirvana A

Equipment Classes

  • Reformer Classes

Pilates Reformer classes are known for their ability to create strength, endurance, tone and longer, leaner muscles. Add to that increased athletic performance, injury prevention, improved range of motion, clarity and calming of the nervous system, and it’s clear why Pilates Reformers are used in clinical centers and sports training facilities alike.

At Posture, we create our classes based on the needs of the students in the class, so no two Pilates Reformer classes are ever the same. Each class features use of the Pilates Reformer and Tower, along with various props including small balls, small weights, resistance bands and balance pads.

  • Pilates Chair + Tower Classes

The Pilates Chair is one of the favorite pieces of equipment at Posture Studio. Its simplicity makes the Pilates Chair look like something used for basic stepping or footwork, yet it is versatile and incredible for building balance, control, and strength.

There is a joke in the studio that “there is Pilates strong, and then there is Pilates Chair strong”. If you’ve ever been on a Pilates Chair, you understand.

Most Pilates Chair classes also incorporate the use of the Pilates Stretch Wall, ending each class with stretch and a cool down period. This is much beloved by clients and leaves the body strengthened and relaxed.

  • Therapeutic Classes

Therapeutic classes are for those who are looking to incorporate Pilates into their preventative maintenance or injury recovery routine. Perfect for those who need ongoing slower based, therapeutic classes. Most classes begin with a mat-based warm-up and move on to the Pilates Reformer for strength and the Pilates Chair for balance.

Therapeutic classes are offered by instructors who have experience working in clinical settings and special populations. Please note that these are NOT to be substituted for beginner classes.

Mat and Rope Wall Classes

  • Pilates Reformer Class

    Mat Classes

If you’ve ever done Pilates, you know that “Mat is where it’s at”. Pilates mat work is the FOUNDATION for Pilates equipment work and is a proven way to build a deeper level of conditioning. Effects of mat-based Pilates include improved balance, awareness, strength and mobility.

When the studio was closed during the pandemic and we turned to virtual classes, all classes were mat-focused. It wasn’t long until clients who had long overlooked mat-based exercises were raving about the difference in their bodies. If we had our way, we’d ask every client to take a weekly mat-based class. It truly makes a difference!

You can also practice mat-based classes via our online subscription service with over 75 mat videos.

  • Rope Wall Classes

The Rope Wall is a client favorite! Traditionally used in Iyengar Yoga, the Rope Wall is a brilliant and versatile apparatus that can be used across exercise disciplines.

We use the Rope Wall in the traditional sense (as pictured) to increase awareness and alignment in traditional yoga poses. We also use it as a Pilates Tower by using springs attached to the wall to perform Pilates based exercises. There are ballet barres that attach to the wall in order to do standing work, and we even attach TRX and bungee cords to the wall for added variety.

We hope you check out a rope wall class as we know you will be hooked!

  • Fusion Pilates + Yoga Class

    Fusion Classes and Workshops

Check out the schedule for fusion classes and workshops with guest instructors.

A few favorite fusion classes have been Pilates/Yoga fusion, Pilates on the Wall + Mat, and Walking Meditation Class.

Previous workshops have included Pelvic Floor Health and Fascial Education with physical therapists as guest instructors.

We regularly host Krav Maga (self-defense) trainings with Julie Morrill of Roar Training. These workshops are a great way to build confidence and put core strength into practice while learning self-defense skills.
