Doctor of Physical Therapy & Senior Pilates Instructor with a focus on therapeutic Pilates
Rebecca has a long-standing love for movement! While pursuing a career in professional dance, she became interested in Pilates-based exercise and began teaching in 1999.
Following completion of her BA in Political Science from the University of MIchigan, Rebecca moved to Charlottesville in 2004 and began teaching Pilates private, semi-private and group session.
In 2006, Rebecca completed her STOTT PILATES® method certification. Inspired by the rehabilitative power of Pilates-based exercise, Rebecca then attended Virginia Commonwealth University receiving her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2011.
Since 2011, Rebecca has worked in outpatient orthopedics, where she integrates Pilates' systems-based approach into her physical therapy practice—helping clients reach their goals while also introducing many to Pilates for the first time.
